Revolution John is an online journal publishing since October 2013
The journal’s name comes from the founding editor’s ancestral grandfather John Mullins. John, who fought in the American Revolutionary War, settled in Appalachia on a military pension that included land ownership. He was well-known as a retired solider and referred to by friends and acquaintances alike as Revolution John Mullins.
Founded by Sheldon Lee Compton, Rev John’s flag has been passed along to editor Anthony Neil Smith and Kaylee J. Nelson beginning in October, 2023.
